A POS with accounting actually built in
The usual arrangement is a till in the shop, accounting software in the back office, and a person moving numbers between them. Bizsoftbiz removes the gap by making them the same system.
The problem with two systems
When the POS and the books are separate, every sale is entered twice — once at the counter and once as debits and credits. Even with an export in between, the two records drift: a refund gets recorded in one and not the other, a discount is booked gross in one and net in the other, and by year end nobody can say which figure is right. Reconciling them is a monthly job that produces nothing.
What "built in" means here
It does not mean a nightly export to an accounting package. It means the journal entry is written in the same database transaction as the sale, by the database itself. If the entry cannot be written the sale does not complete. There is no queue, no sync status, and no window in which the two disagree.
- Sale posts revenue, tax, tender and cost of goods in one transaction
- Refund posts the exact mirror, from the same cost snapshot
- Goods receipt posts inventory against goods-received-not-invoiced
- Opening stock, adjustments and count variances all post too
What you get out of it
A trial balance that ties to the till. A profit and loss whose cost of sales came from the actual cost of the actual units sold, not an estimate. A balance sheet that balances at every instant, because retained earnings is folded live rather than stored. And a control-account panel that tells you when something has genuinely drifted, instead of leaving you to discover it in an audit.
Questions, answered
Does it sync to QuickBooks or Xero?
No, and that is the point — there is nothing to sync, because the ledger is not a separate system. A QuickBooks integration is listed on our integrations page as planned, not shipped, and we do not claim it as available.
What if I already have an accountant with their own system?
Export any statement to Excel or PDF and send it. Most accountants would rather receive a trial balance and a general ledger than a box of receipts, and both come out of Bizsoftbiz as a single click.
Related capabilities
Double-entry accounting that posts itself
Most point of sale systems give you a sales report and leave the bookkeeping to someone else. Bizsoftbiz keeps a genuine double-entry general ledger underneath the till, and every transaction writes to it as it happens.

A statement is only worth reading if it agrees with the others. Bizsoftbiz computes all four from one ledger, so they do — and shows you the reconciliation that proves it.
