Feature
Inventory that reconciles, to the unit
Stock figures are only useful if you can explain how they got there. Every movement in Bizsoftbiz is an append-only ledger row with a running balance and the cost in force at the time.
Live stock, decremented by the sale itself
The database decrements stock in the same transaction as the sale, locking the product rows and refusing to oversell. That is not a background job that can fall behind — if the stock is not there, the sale does not complete.
Weighted-average costing on every receipt
Receiving goods recomputes the weighted average cost of what you hold. A refund restores the quantity but never moves the average, because reversing an issue must not change a cost that the issue itself did not change — otherwise margin depends on refund timing. What you paid last time is kept separately from what your stock is worth, because the first is the negotiating number and the second is the accounting one.
The overview at a glance
Stock on hand, low stock, out of stock, dead stock, pending price suggestions and how many lines are due to be reordered — each one a filter into the tab that explains it.
Everything exports
Every tab downloads as Excel and PDF, with numbers kept as numbers and the filters you had applied written into the file, so an export is exactly what was on screen and can be summed and pivoted rather than retyped.
Questions, answered
Can I import my existing catalogue?
Yes. Upload a spreadsheet with SKU, name, price, cost and stock. Barcodes, categories and reorder points are optional columns you can fill in later. Suppliers, purchase order lines and count sheets can be uploaded the same way.
Is there an importer for stock movements?
No, deliberately. The ledger has no write path other than the functions that move stock — if movements could be uploaded, the ledger would stop being a record of what happened and become a record of what someone typed.
