Cheque printing and a register that accounts for every leaf
Print onto the bank stationery you already have, keep a register of what was written, and know at any moment which cheques have not yet been presented.
Overlay printing, calibrated
Bizsoftbiz prints only the fields — payee, amount in figures, amount in words, date, crossing — positioned onto your bank’s own leaf. Each bank account has its own template you can edit, and an alignment grid prints a 5 mm mesh with millimetre rulers at the leaf’s exact size so you can calibrate without wasting a book finding out.
Amounts spelled out, correctly
The words have to agree with the figures beside them or the bank refuses the cheque, and floating-point rounding is a real way to get that wrong. Bizsoftbiz rounds through a precision pass first, so a figure that renders as 1.01 is never spelled as one. Rupee currencies group in lakh and crore rather than millions, because that is how the amount is read where it is being paid.
A register with a lifecycle
Issued, presented, cleared, bounced, void. A spoiled leaf is recorded and consumes its number, which is what makes the register account for the whole book. A cheque that actually paid a bill cannot be voided — tearing up paper does not un-post money, and reversing that is a journal entry like any other correction.
Vouchers behind every payment
Every payment carries a numbered voucher — PV for money out, RV for money in — on its own per-store sequence, stating what the ledger actually did. The cheque register is memorandum: the bank is credited when the cheque is issued, and uncleared cheques appear as a reconciling item rather than as a second posting.
Questions, answered
Does it work with my bank’s cheque book?
It is designed to. You measure your leaf once using the alignment grid and save the field positions as a template for that bank account, so any bank’s layout can be matched.
Can I track cheques customers give me?
Not as a lifecycle. The register is for cheques you write. An incoming cheque’s number is recorded as the reference on the receipt; received, deposited and cleared is a different flow and we have not built it.
