What to order, worked out from what actually sold
A reorder point that was typed in once and never revisited is a guess. Bizsoftbiz computes one per product from your own trading history and the supplier’s lead time.
Velocity, net of returns
Daily velocity comes from the movement ledger over a window you set, counting sales and refunds together so a returned unit is not counted as demand. Products with no demand are classed as such rather than being reported as critically low.
Lead time, inferred if it has to be
The preferred supplier’s lead time if one is set, otherwise the supplier on the most recent order containing that product, otherwise a default. The suggested quantity is velocity multiplied by lead plus safety plus cover days, less what is on the shelf and less what is already on an open order — so a product ordered on Monday does not keep reporting as critical until the pallet lands.
Statuses you can act on
Critical, order now, ok, overstocked, or no demand. Turn the list into a draft purchase order in one step, grouped by supplier.
Suggested, never applied
Computed reorder points are proposals. Writing them onto your products is an explicit decision you take, in the same action that authorises it — the same rule Bizsoftbiz applies to price changes, which are only ever written by the approval that agreed to them.
